Masala movies at Tamil cinema just keep coming forth and this is no longer surprising but the great thing about it is even if there are some that are “clichéd”, most of these masala films have made wonders and even turned into box-office hits. In line with this, new comer filmmaker Vijay Prakash has decided to make a very much commercialized film. Although Aadu Puli is a spicy film, it has made sure to entertain its audience in a decent manner.
Under the production of Michael Rayappan of Global Infotaintment, the movie has clearly shown how it is star studded with casts such as Aadhi Poorna, Prabhu, and K R Vijaya to mention a few.
Aadu Puli centers on the hero of the story, Idhayakani (Aadhi) who comes from a big family having Bhagyanathan (Prabhu) the father and Kalaiarasi (Anupama) the mother. Also very much part of the family are his sister, grandfather (Ravichandran) and grandmother (K R Vijaya). All is well with his folks and things in his life turn much better until he falls in love with the daughter of an influential Minister, Anjali played by Poorna. The Minister, Thillainayagam, played by Suresh, astonishingly approves of his daughter’s plans of marrying Idhayakani.
By tradition, the couple seeks the blessings of the elders of their families but things turn a little sour as the two seems to be not given the chance to get married as one problem after the other chase the two. Idhayakani then begins to find out who is behind all these mishaps and the person behind it surprises not only our lead star but even the audience as well.
Aadu Puli has become the path for Aadhi to go forth with his rise to fame. The role of Idhayakani fits him very well. Alongside Aadhi is Poorna who also gives out great acting skills. The rest of the characters have justified their roles well too.
The music which was done by Sundar C. Babu is typical and the camera works of Rajavel Oliveeran has stuck to making the film commercial.
Basically, Aadu Puli is the kind of movie that has been typically seen already making it predictable but it still manages to give out clean fun making it a good family movie.
