The title itself is already something that is striking already and seemingly gives out the essence of the film. The whole film was something that a lot of people waited for. It came out as if the film was entrusted to idlers. The movie resulted to somewhat like a puzzle; torn down to pieces and just put together. Could it be what the movie is really made of or just bad editing?
The film is about Eashwar who is one spoiled brat and is wealthy and has a father that has been locked up in jail because of murder. Eashwar earns a living as a money lender together with his mother and goes with his friend, Singampuli, when collecting repayments. He then meets Dhyana who visits their village and happens to be the educated daughter of the postmaster. Eashwar falls for Dhyana but she does not reciprocate the feeling. The movie reaches its climax after a number of events in the movie that has murder scenes, fraudulent police officers and a love story on the side.
Under the direction of Waterman, he was able to tell the audience in a manner that his movie is something not to take for granted. There was a clear effort to reproduce a classic film but on this case it was not that successful.
Eashwar did a promising role but factors like the script, may be the director could have polished bits of the flaws. Dhyana and the rest of the cast came off as half-cooked in terms of their acting because maybe it was not clear as to how or what their roles were.
The musical background score of S S Kumaran was average. The songs did not complement the film; instead it became a hindrance to the movie because it can get too loud. The crew of the film definitely could have done better if only they considered taking in ideas from the pros or even went on with more brainstorming.
